Chapter 7
After the two couples returned back to âDa Carolina,â they were thinking that things couldnât get any better.
âPrecious!â yelled Doja from the living Room.
Precious came out of the bedroom with Nino at her heels. âWhatâs up baby?â
âBaby, Iâll be back in a little bit iâight. I got to go make a few runs,â he said as he kissed her on her lips and headed out of the door.
âBe careful,â she said as she locked the door behind him.
As he was standing in his driveway he was debating on what he should drive but he decided to drive the Benz. As he got in the car, put his 40 Glock in the stash spot, and lit up a Kool cigarette. He thought to himself about how good he was doing and when he was leaving the street life. As he got a text message on his sidekick, he snapped out of his daze and replied that he was spendin the bend. He put his Shawty Lo cd in and put it on âIt feels good to be here,â and he backed out his yard and headed towards his destination. He was handling business. He had a barbershop, which he barely went to but he had major clientele and had his cousin âSmileyâ running it. He had just purchased a salon for Precious to have her own business after she went to cosmetology school to get her license. Plus, he had a studio and detailing shop. He was flipping his money and doing well to the point where he couldnât catch no money laundering charges if shit ever got hectic. Though he was living that life, he also knew people were out to get him by all means. So to say at seventeen years old he could retire from the dope game would be a street life dream. But, he would make sure shit was real right before he slid behind the scenes.
He would be that nigga who had all the work, connections, and money but wouldnât get caught up. That was his plan, to fall all the way back behind the scenes. His mother told him, if he was going to run the streets, do it for a reason and donât be petty, do it big.â So ever since then, his mother showed him how to flip his money into legit businesses and clean his money. He was down West 2nd North Street when his phone started ringing.
âHello,â he said.
The phone was silent for a minute and a voice came through. âNigga you think you untouchable or something?â
He smirked. âMotherfuckers ainât got shit better to do then play on my phone.â
The other voice got real aggressive. âWell, think this a game then nigga. Chess, checkmate bitch!â
âGet off my line,â he said as he hung up. He thought that it was one of his homeboys fuckin with him until the phone rang again from another private number. âWhat the fuck you want?â
âYo head on a platter bitch. I heard about the bread you put on my people and now he missing.
